The area was founded in 1981 as a Master Planned Community. Currently there are approximately 76,000 residents living in the community which is located in Douglas County only 13 miles south of Denver, Colorado. Douglas County is nationally recognized as one of the fastest growing counties in the United States.
Recreation facilities abound in this active community. The community currently has three recreational facilities located in the community with indoor and outdoor pools. Walking and biking paths are all within easy reach of each neighborhood. Abundant State Parks and hiking trails are another benefit of living in Douglas County.
